Case Study Website Migration

*Website Design is not by T Doner*

This is a platform migration from WordPress with WooCommerce to Squarespace with Commerce.

PROBLEM:

Brian was referred to me by a friend in his industry since he was having problems with his website showing errors and that customers were not able to make purchases.  He had moved his website away from his web designer due to lack of services

The website was built on WordPress with WooCommerce and many plugins to get the store to accomplish his needs.

At first, Brian asked if I could fix the website so that his customers could make purchases.  After reviewing the website it was evident that the many plugins that had been running the store were no longer live plugins and the company was gone that built them.

  • Broken website
  • Store not working

SOLUTION:

I explained to Brian that the plugins were no longer supported and the store would have to be partially rebuilt with new plugins.

Brain explained that he wanted to have the website working but to maintain it with little upkeep.  I suggested we do a rebuild with Squarespace where he would be able to handle it himself without the worry of updating WordPress and plugins.

  • New Squarespace Commerce Store.
  • Remake website in Squarespace.
  • Setup Google Workspace domain email.
  • Training on how to manage store and orders and changes to the website.
